Our services include a fully decorated wedding chapel and reception hall, wedding flowers, a minister, live performers, a wedding coordinator and much more.
About the only thing we do not provide is the marriage license. We accept Tennessee and Georgia marriage licenses, but you must bring your own. If you decide to purchase one in Ringgold, stop by the chapel and schedule your wedding first. Then go to the courthouse for the license. Ringgold Wedding Chapel will give you a gift for supporting our community.
The Chapel began as a Methodist Church in 1845. The church was destroyed by fire during Sherman’s march through Ringgold during the civil war. The church was given $600 to rebuild, which it did. In 1987,
Teresa James purchased the property in 2008 and turned the old church into a 1st class Wedding Chapel serving not only the Southeast but, visitors from arround the world. Since purchasing the Chapel, Teresa and her staff have grown the Ringgold Wedding Chapel to be one of the best Wedding Chapels in the area. In fact, the Ringgold Wedding Chapel was nominated for the 2011 Chattanooga Times Free Press: Best of the Best in Wedding Venue Category.
While there, be sure to check out the “Couple Hall of Fame”. The inductees to this Hall of Fame were chosen based on criteria such as, the longest-married couple, oldest in age, most creative story, traveling the furthest to be married at the chapel and best love story. New inductees are added one to two times a year. There is a chance you may see someone famous while you are there. Ricky Townsend, of New York Giants fame, was married at the chapel on Christmas Eve. Bob Hagard, Jefferson Air Plane, chose Valentine’s Day to tie the knot at the Wedding Chapel.
